Choosing the best time to take your photos can be an overwhelming task. Below is some information that will help make that decision easier!
When choosing a date, you’ll want to think about a few key factors. First is your schedule. Do you have an activity that limits your time in a certain part of the year? Are you waiting to get your braces off? Be sure to factor that in when choosing a date.
Next is the feel or vibe of the photos. Do you want a Fall look? Spring flowers? A city backdrop? All of it?
Below are some examples photos from each time of year and the benefits.
June - October
Sunflowers and wildflower. Later start times. Tan from summer. Plenty of time before graduation. A perfect option for those doing a Double Session! Examples below.
November - February
Mix of seasons. Flowers + fall foliage. Greenery. Perfect time for a city vibe. Plenty of time before graduation.
March - May
Spring flowers and greenery. End of senior year. Later start times.
Non-Seasonal Locations
There are some areas that we can shoot in at any time of the year. City scapes, old town charm, parking garages, etc. Please note that most locations have a mix of these types of locations AND greenery - you aren't choosing one over the other. If this is more of your style, you can book at anytime!
Studio Sessions
Studio sessions can be done at any time of the year. These are a perfect add on to your senior portraits if you want an editorial flair. Below are some examples of studio sessions.
